"Masks" And Echo Conference 2011

This week I attended my first conference: Echo Conference 2011 in Dallas, TX. It was incredibly rad to get to meet and hang out with other creative geeks from churches and production companies all around the country!

By far, though, the weirdest experience was on Wednesday night, after the first Keynote of the conference. Worship House Media had a special film festival of sorts and CentralFilms (the production company I work for) was one of the five producers they picked to debut what they call a "mini-movie". We decided to show one of our most recent videos called "Masks" (which you can watch above, if you so desire).

Just before the event, we were asked by Dale Carter of Worship House Media to get up after the video was shown and speak about the creation process of the mini-movie.

If you know me, you know I have a severe case of stage fright.

This terrified me.

Somehow, I willed my legs to walk up the steps to that stage and stand next to my boss and fellow CentralFilmer, Justin Jackson, and I even managed to say a few things about my involvement in the video before everything was said and done.

The conference itself was a blast, and I'm definitely looking forward to attending next year! Maybe I'll see you there!
